During the coldest months of the year, churches across Charlotte open their doors to welcome neighbors experiencing homelessness and Storyhill joined them in winter of 2025-2026! We’re grateful to serve with Room in the Inn, and we need you to help make it happen. A few of the ways to serve include: setting and packing up | build community by sharing a meal | transporting guests | staying overnight at the church with participants | and more.

Our next Room in the Inn Volunteer Training will be Sunday, November 1st from 12:30 to 2 pm. Volunteer training is required for all returning and new volunteers to be able to serve during the upcoming season (December 2026-March 2027). We will learn about best practices for interacting with our neighbors experiencing homelessness and about how to fulfill various volunteer roles. Lunch is provided!
