Sermon Series | Wait of the World

  • Storyhill Church Main Office 496 South Main Street Davidson, NC, 28036 United States (map)

This Advent, we’re slowing down to remember God’s pace rather than our culture’s push for efficiency. Through the traditional readings from Isaiah and Matthew, we’ll explore the theme of waiting… who is waiting, for what, and how God meets us in the midst of it. As we reflect on Proverbs 16:9 and the “unforced rhythms of grace,” we’ll name the places we feel the wait and look for God’s steady presence and long-forming work in our lives.

Know: God is patient and steadfast; he is working and with us in the weight/wait.

Do: Learn the rhythm and rest of God’s pace, believing that God’s “inefficient” way is actually better (including for us).
